Etna Walking Tour and Wine & Food Tasting in Winery – from Taormina

Discover Mount Etna through nature, volcanoes, breathtaking views and the flavors of Sicily

Discover Mount Etna in a small group of no more than 8 people and enjoy a complete experience exploring the volcano, its fascinating history and unique geology.

Accompanied by an expert local guide, you will explore Etna’s extraordinary volcanic landscapes, walking among ancient lava flows and extinct lateral craters while learning about the natural features that make this area so unique.

After exploring the volcano, we will visit a local winery on Mount Etna, where you can taste a selection of Etna wines, paired with traditional Sicilian and italian foods, local products and ingredients, guided by an experienced sommelier.

The Tour

Your day will begin with pick-up from an agreed meeting point in Taormina.

We will travel to the Etna tourist area, located at approximately 1,800–2,000 metres above sea level, where you can explore the area with your guide or enjoy some free time at your own pace.

You can browse the local shops and viewpoints, stop for a coffee or simply relax before starting the hike.

Discover Mount Etna

Together with your guide, you will explore some of the most fascinating volcanic landscapes of Mount Etna, walking among ancient lava flows and extinct lateral craters.

The approximately 1.5-hour hike is easy to moderate and offers the opportunity to experience the volcanic landscape up close while discovering the unique vegetation found at different elevations on the volcano.

During the hike, we will also visit a lava tube, a fascinating geological feature created by past volcanic activity. The visit to the lava tube lasts approximately 15 minutes.

Winter Snowshoe Experience

During the winter season, weather and trail conditions permitting, you can join your guide for an unforgettable snowshoeing experience among Etna’s lava flows and snow-covered volcanic landscapes.

The hike is easy to moderate and lasts approximately 1.5 hours.

Snowshoe rental is not included and costs an additional €15 per person.

Etna Wine & Food Tasting

After exploring the volcano, we will continue to a local winery surrounded by the unique volcanic landscape of Mount Etna.

Here, accompanied by an experienced sommelier, you will discover the winemaking traditions of the region and taste a selection of Etna red and white wines.

The wines will be paired with a selection of local products, traditional ingredients and authentic Sicilian specialties, creating a genuine and memorable culinary experience.
